To avoid detection, it is advised to NOT use Modified or Jailbroken Pokémon Go Apps. Jailbroken versions of the modified apps are also just as detectable as the non jailbroken versions. A modified Pokémon Go App is a Pokémon Go app that has been changed to add a joystick overlay and interacts with the game. As of January 2020, Niantic implemented new anti cheat code that detects Modified Pokémon Go Apps like iSpoofer and iPogo.
